All About Asparagus
Monday, March 02, 2009
This is a random post about one of my favorite vegetables. Meet asparagus. Nutrition: good source of folic acid, potassium, and fiber
Storage: place spears cut end down in a glass of water in the fridge (use within 3 days)
Price: 97 cents a bunch on sale at Bashas
Preparation: rinse with cold water, cut off fibrous end (about 2 inches), coat with olive oil and sprinkle with italian dressing mix, roast on baking sheet at 450 for 15 minutes
Come on, try it. Even Noah likes it!
So funny that you posted this, I just got asparagus today cause I had some at a wedding and was wondering how to make it so yummy! Now I know, thanks!
Mmm! I have never put italian dressing mix on asparagus...that sounds delicious!
THis is Dayns favorite vegetable! We eat it at least once a week! Yum! We make it that way or on the grill drizzled with balsalmic vinegar!
The asparagus that Bashas had on sale was so good! I usually just steam it and add a little butter, salt and pepper but your way sounds yummy!
I like it for the wonderful aroma it gives when going to the bathroom later.

Oh gee Landon! You would have to point that out!

I think I'm going to try this tonight! My sister got her little kids to eat it by using olive oil and sprinkling garlic salt on it. Well that and pretending they were dinosaurs and the asparagus were trees. :)
