Noahisms

A few more funny things Noah has come up with lately...

He uses the words "itch" and "scratch" interchangeably.  He saw some gunk stuck to the floor, and told me he needed to "itch" it off.

He starts most sentences with "because".  "Because I need to go the park!"  Even when no one asks him a question, he still says things like, "Because I really want some gold fish."

We always talk about Noah choosing to obey.  He has started to use that against us... If he doesn't get what he wants, he says (strongly), "Because you're not obeying me!" or "Mama, Cotchie is not obeying me!" Oh boy...

He likes to say "why not?" but doesn't use it right.  We'll be driving in the car, and he'll say, "Where are we going?"  I tell him, "We are going to church." Then he'll say, "Why not?"

He is starting to try to figure out the concept of time and days... I will tell him about something fun we are going to do on Saturday.  He'll ask, "Is it Saturday yet?"  I'll say, "No, not yet."  Then he'll be quiet for a couple minutes, and then suddenly stop what he's doing, look outside, and proclaim, "It's Saturday!"

He's starting to try to read.  He was looking at my dad's truck and pointed to the letters, "S-U-P-E-R-D-U-T-Y. That spells truck."  Well, at least he's using his context clues!
